is mandated by one of its clients in the power generation sector to
recruit a Senior Business Development Manager for its operations in
Central Africa covering the following countries : Cameroon, Chad,
Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, Comoros Islands and the Central African
Republic. The position will be based in Douala, Cameroon.

- Lead market development and sales projects in the specified area and report the progress to relevant stakeholders
- Accurately forecast and deliver sales with best possible profitability with low risk profiles
- Understand/review/approve opportunity cost budget
- Define and execute country action plans per country
- Proactively work to enable cross-divisional and cross-organizational cooperation throughout the sales process
- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
- Ensure compliance of sales activities with the company's internal business processes
- Ensure high level customer relationship management
- Active engagement with local and global consultants to promote and educate on the company's solutions
- Active engagement with local governments and utilities to promote and educate on the company's solutions
- Create and identify opportunities in cooperation with regional sales teams
- Negotiate project and coordinate financing arrangements in collaboration with the company's Finance team
- Work with internal and external experts (technical, financial, legal, environmental, etc.) in order to maximise the company's competitiveness
- As per business needs, support other areas
Expectations

- Experience in working with senior decision makers (CFO, CEO, VP, President, Energy Ministers etc.) in the power sector
- Experience in end to end greenfield development and financing of IPP projects
- Knowledge of the power industry , specifically in Africa
- Understanding customers business and value proposition
- Comprehensive understanding of the energy sector
- Understanding of power plant financing, construction, operation and economic drivers
- Good value selling understanding, preferably from the power plant business
- Understanding of LNG business and knowledge of Solar industry would be a plus
- Good understanding of oil & Gas and mining industry
- Understanding sales financials
