JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY :
The Production Assistant Operator develops Operation skills and assists in routine maintenance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESULT AREA:
Ensures all safety rules and regulations are adhered to and that safety equipment are always available and used.
Be knowledgeable of environment regulations and laws such as MSDS, hazardous waste (ISO 14001), spill prevention and control. Applies this knowledge to address responsibility in reporting spills that impact environment and takes prompt corrective action.
Maintains an adequate inventory of chemical stock to prevent downtime.
Develops additional skills through self-study and aggressively learns from others.
Carries out well test, well unloading, front line preventive maintenance, and operates installation within the operating envelop.
Promptly reacts to unsafe conditions that may escalate by cascading to the line for remedial actions.
Responsible for execution of assigned work tasks associated with the operation of field plant \ equipment’s, while working under the direct supervision of the operations Team Lead.
INTERFACE AND DIMENSIONS :
Essential for the efficient runtime of critical equipment, pumps, compressors and generators in the Mokoko Abana Production Unit.
Interface with other service sections for breakdown/routine maintenance work in facilities and plants to ensure minimum deferment.
KEY CHALLENGES?:
Demonstrate strong willingness to learn new task.
Ability to work with other crafts out of own discipline during preventive maintenance to build up skills.
Dexterity and physically fit for offshore work and ability to work on a fast-changing environment.
Ability to safely fallow procedures and direct orders as deemed necessary by hierarchy
EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCE AND REQUIREMENTS :
Holder of GCE A’ Level or equivalent in any technical field.
1-2 years’ offshore experience.
HUET/BOSIET Certified and has Fit for offshore certification.
Become an active participant in APIPP safety process
Maintain a high level of safety awareness and standards in all daily duties and tasks.
Be responsible and attentive to leaders’ instructions, safe methods and job procedures
Demonstrates strong, dynamic team member capability
Can work in a diverse team
Good team player
